Review of energy customer contract regulations

Energy Policy WA is reviewing the Energy Coordination (Customer Contracts) Regulations 2004 and the Electricity Industry (Customer Contracts) Regulations 2005.

These regulations provide certain customer protections for small-use gas and electricity customers.

The purpose of the review is to provide a streamlined and consistent framework for delivering customer protections by removing outdated references within the regulations and duplications with other instruments.

Energy Policy WA has reviewed stakeholder submissions received on the Draft Recommendations Report, which was released in May 2019, and is working to finalise recommendations for regulatory amendments for consideration by the Minister for Energy.
