Western Australia Declaration of State of Emergency and Public Health Emergency
The Government of Western Australia has declared a State of Emergency and a Public Health Emergency in response to COVID-19 coronavirus.

Travel and border: State-wide
WA’s borders are now closed, travellers are not able to enter Western Australia unless exempt, exemptions are specified in the directions.
Regional travel
Travel within WA has been restricted, this applies to travel between regional areas, including additional restrictions for Goldfields-Esperance, remote Aboriginal communities and the Kimberley. Exemptions are specified in the relevant directions.
Business and community activity
Directions to close specific business and community activities. Affected activities are specified in the directions.
Isolation and quarantine
Directions relating to self-isolation and quarantine to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Health
Directions for COVID-19 testing and other health requirements under the Public Health Act 2016 (WA).
Other
Any other direction relating to the Emergency Management Act 2005 (WA).
Western Australian Government response
We understand there is considerable public concern. We are taking the situation very seriously and implementing measures to protect the community and minimise potential impacts of COVID-19.
