Biography
In March 2013, Minister Dave Kelly was elected to the Thirty-Ninth parliament as the Member for Bassendean.
After the McGowan Labor Government's election in the March 2017, he was appointed the Minister for Water, Fisheries; Forestry; Innovation and ICT; Science.
Prior to his entry into politics Minister Kelly spent 20 years in the union movement protecting the wages and conditions of some of the lowest-paid workers in WA; including education assistants, aged care workers, disability support workers and healthcare workers.
Minister Kelly played a key role in establishing the Bayswater-Noranda Community Bank, the first community bank to established in metropolitan Perth. He was a board member of the bank from its establishment in 2000 to 2017.
