GovNext-ICT Common Use Arrangement roles and responsibilities

Information to assist agencies when procuring services under the GovNext-ICT Common User Arrangement (CUA).

This fact sheet provides an overview of the different roles and responsibilities of the Government Procurement and GovNext-ICT Service Broker (GSB) functions to help State Government agencies understand which area to contact in relation to ICT infrastructure service requirements and procurement activities.

The GovNext-ICT establishes the buying framework for services to enable agencies to modernise their ICT infrastructure and provide better services to the community.

The Department of Finance (Finance) has delegated authority from the State Supply Commission to develop and manage CUAs, and is the Principal to the GovNext-ICT contract. Within Finance, the Government Procurement function supports client agencies navigate the quotation formation and evaluation processes through its Agency Procurement Support Business Unit.

The GSB is responsible for the centralised governance and management of the arrangements with the vendors supplying services to agencies under the CUA, and technical support to client agencies in transition planning and determining what to procure under GovNext-ICT.
