As announced by the Treasurer and the Minister for Racing and Gaming (the Minister), the State Government has commenced the market process for the sale of the Western Australian TAB.
The Department of Treasury is working collaboratively with Racing and Wagering Western Australia, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the State Solicitor’s Office on the delivery of the project in accordance with the State Government’s objectives.

The commencement of the market process follows extensive public consultation occurring in 2018 and 2019 and the enactment of the TAB (Disposal) Act 2019 following passage by State Parliament in September 2019.
