Pay for a vehicle examination

You may need to get your vehicle examined to license it, remove a compliance notice (yellow sticker), or if your vehicle requires an annual examination.

The Department of Transport has vehicle examination centres located in the Perth metropolitan area for which pre-booking your examination is essential.

There are also privately operated Approved Inspection Stations (AIS) that can undertake vehicle examinations. These are located in metropolitan and regional areas. If your vehicle is to be examined by a non Department of Transport centre, such as an Approved Inspection Station, you will need to book and pay the examination fee directly with that station.

For information on making a booking, fees, opening hours, and location maps please visit the Department of Transport website.
